Our Guide to Medieval Times Dinner Show

Once inside the stone walls of the 11th Century-style castle, guests receive a coloured crown corresponding to their seating area and the Knight they will cheer throughout the show. The Trumpeters of the Realm then announce the opening of the Grand Ceremonial Arena and you may proceed to your seats for the sumptuous feast to begin. With clockwork precision, legions of serving wenches and serfs deliver four tasty courses, and in true "medieval style" – no silverware is to be used (just lots of napkins)!

With more lance-splintering action and glorious pageantry than you can shake a sword at, Medieval Times continues to be one of the most popular dinner shows in the area. Enjoy a spectacular display of equestrian skills and medieval pageantry and fierce competition as the six brave Knights of the Realm battle it out in a series of challenges such as the flag toss, ring pierce and javelin throw – but watch out because not all is as it seems… As word of a missing Prince finally reaches the King, and an evil villain is revealed to the crowd, a battle ensues to maintain good over evil, and guests cheer their own Knight to victory in authentic jousting matches and dangerous sword fights.

What’s on the menu? (Subject to change): The meal begins with savoury garlic bread and a steaming hot tomato bisque soup ladled into pewter bowls; then come roasted chicken, spare rib, a seasoned potato and pastry of the Castle. Select non-alcoholic beverages only (a Cash bar service is also available throughout the show).

Show Times: Medieval Times Dinner Show is open nightly throughout the year. The show normally commences at 7.00pm although at peak times of the year, there may be a choice of 2 performance times – 6.00pm and 8.15pm.

Doors open 90 minutes before the show time and it is recommended that you arrive early as seats are allocated on a first come first serve basis. Once in the Hall of Arms there are plenty of activities and festivities to enjoy; admire the display of medieval artifacts. There are coats of arms of many prestigious families and a spectacular array of medieval weaponry on display. There is also a Medieval Life Village - the only permanent medieval village existing in the United States. Guests can observe the arts, crafts and daily traditions of the medieval period when walking through each of the eight authentic cottages.
