Do I have to book a date or can I leave it open?

Because Discovery Cove limit attendance to 1000 people per day, we have to book a date for you. During busy periods such as Easter and Summer, we would require at least 2 months notice in order to secure you a place.

Do you need to be an experienced swimmer for Discovery Cove?

No, life jackets are provided and you don't have to go out of your depth.

What is included in the dolphin all-inclusive price?

Your Discovery Cove experience includes everything: a dolphin swim experience; unlimited access to all swim and snorkeling areas; the Free-Flight aviary; a sumptuous meal; use of a mask, snorkel, life vests and/or wetsuits; towel; locker, parking; lounge chairs and beach umbrellas.

How long is the dolphin swim block?

The swim block will consist of a 30min introduction with the trainers and a 30min group session with the dolphins. This will be followed by an optional 30 min debrief for any questions.

Do Discovery Cove tickets also include a pass to SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens?

Both the Choice of Adventure swim and the NON swim packages include 14 days access to either SeaWorld or Busch Gardens, which can be taken either before or after the swim date. Alternatively, you can opt for the Discovery Cove Ultimate Adventure Package which includes 14 consecutive days entrance to SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens. Please note, Discovery Cove reservations are ticketless and bookings are completed via their online system. You will therefore receive an e-ticket that will gain entrance to either Sea World, Busch Gardens or Aquatica. If you wish to visit Discovery Cove first, your tickets will be printed for all parks there.

What are the age restrictions?
Guests of all ages are welcome at Discovery Cove. To swim with the dolphins, however, guests must be at least 6 years old. Children aged 6-12 years old participating in the dolphin swim experience must be accompanied by a paying adult who is also participating in the dolphin swim experience. There is no adult to child ratio but one adult must accompany children under 13 years old in their party.
 
When should I arrive?
Park operating hours are 9am to 5.30pm. Check-in begins at 8am. We recommend arriving early so you can enjoy a full day at this beautiful park.
 
Is the dolphin swim available to guests with disabilities?
Discovery Cove can accommodate guests with disabilities who are able to manoeuvre themselves with limited assistance (or with the aid of a personal assistant) during their dolphin experience and in the various wading locations.
 
NB – Specially formulated sun tan lotion, that is safe for the animals’ habitats, will be available. Please leave your sunscreen at home.
 
The NON swim package includes everything that the SWIM package does EXCEPT the dolphin swim.

Free transportation to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay on the Busch Gardens Shuttle Express is included in the Discovery Cove Ultimate Adventure Package and the Discovery Cove Choice of Adventure Package including Busch Gardens. The service departs from SeaWorld® Orlando and throughout various locations in the International Drive and Kissimmee areas. Pre-booking is a must and reservations can be made by calling 1-800-221-1339. The service is subject to change.
